To All Foreign Nationals Residing in Japan
A Resident Card will be issued with the introduction of a new residency management system. The Alien Registration System will be abolished.
Basic Resident Registration System for Foreign Residents
外国人住民の住民基本台帳制度が施行されました。
（外国人登録法は廃止になっています）
The Social Security and Tax Number System will be introduced.
Foreign residents are now also covered by the Basic Resident Registration System
